Dedicated to the memory of Floss
MND is a cruel disease which left my nan unable to walk, talk and eventually breath. Yet she could still recall every single birthday of her grandchildren off the top of her head.
Nan died in 2001, they thought she had a stroke and was put on a stroke ward in hospital. Fast forward nearly 20 years and MND care has dramatically improved with over 20 MND care centres now existing around the country thanks to funding from the MND Association.
There is still no cure but the MND Association funds over 80 projects in the search for better treatments.
Progress is being made.
